Last week Spotify threw a hissy fit with me and took down my playlist Songs by Sean Kearns.

I knew this because they sent me an email telling me I’d done something wrong and they were taking the playlist down. The email didn’t tell me what I’d done wrong and why that particular playlist was removed. I tried contacting Spotify and ended up on their chat system but all they would say is that I’d been sent an email. In fact they told me that three times on three separate attempts to get an answer from their chat line.

They did tell me that I could re-do the playlist, which beggars the question what was wrong with it in the first place. In the end I gave up trying to find out what rule or regulation I had broken and re-did the playlist. So the all-new Songs by Sean Kearns playlist is now available. It’s exactly the same as the old Songs by Sean Kearns playlist but the new one makes Spotify happy whereas the old one offended them greatly. Go figure.
