Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to everyone who has listened to my song Like Lovers Do on Spotify.

It really is fabulous that so many people have taken the time to listen to a song I wrote. I know that the likes of Coldplay, Adele, Ed Sheeran and many others can count plays in the billions, and good luck to them, but every artist writing and playing their music struggles to find an audience and then suddenly, if you’re lucky, you’ll hit a milestone like 1,000 plays on Spotify.

OK, so it won’t make me a millionaire, I’ll probably earn about 10p for a thousand plays, but that’s really not the point. I don’t make music as a living, I make music because it’s in my blood. My songs are little bits of me. To have one of those songs listened to over a thousand times is both exciting and genuinely humbling.

So, my deep and genuine thanks to every person who has clicked play and spent four minutes of their life listening to something I created. It means the world to me.
