Every song has its own story, but some songs seem to travel a little further than the rest.
For me, Draw The Line has become that song.
Out of all the music I’ve released, Draw The Line has had more Spotify plays than any of my other songs. That means a lot to me, not just because of the numbers, but because every play represents someone choosing to spend a few minutes with something I created.
I wrote the song, played all the instruments, and sang all the vocals. Like a lot of my music, it began as an idea that gradually found its shape through writing, recording, arranging, and performing each part until it felt right. There is something very personal about building a song that way. Every sound, every voice, every decision becomes part of the finished record.
Draw The Line is one of those songs that seems to have connected with listeners. Maybe it is the title. Maybe it is the feel of the track. Maybe it is the idea behind it — that moment when you know something has to change, when you have to make a decision, when you finally say: this is where I draw the line.
Whatever the reason, I’m grateful that people have listened to it, saved it, returned to it, and helped it become my most-played song on Spotify.
For anyone who has not heard it yet, I’d love you to give it a listen. It is only three minutes and thirty-seven seconds long, but it represents a lot of what I enjoy about songwriting: melody, emotion, atmosphere, and the challenge of trying to say something honest through music.
And for those who have already heard Draw The Line, thank you. If it has been a while since you last played it, maybe now is a good time to hear it again. Songs can feel different at different moments in life, and I always like the idea that a track can find someone again later in a new way.
You can listen to Draw The Line now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp and every streaming service throughout the world.
Thank you to everyone who has already played it, shared it, or added it to a playlist. Your support helps the song keep reaching new ears.
