It’s was five years ago today that I lost the love of my life. She finally lost her fight against the cancer that attacked her in the most vicious, awful way and took from the world a very special person.

Right up until her treatment was withdrawn she fought her illness with courage and grace. She didn’t think about the way her illness affected her, she worried about how it was affecting those around her, those she loved. She was my heroine, she still is and she always will be.

I miss her in ways I could not have previously imagined and losing her will define the rest of my life.

I love you Christine and I always will. Thank you for being my friend and for sharing your life with me.
