I’m delighted to announce that I’m organising a Songwriter Evening at my local village hall. I hope it will be the first of many. If you live in or around North Wales please come along to Ysceifiog Village Hall on 7th February at 7.30pm and perform and listen to musicians playing original music.

The aim is simple, to showcase original music in a respectful setting. In my experience too many open mic events are ruined by the fact that the audience don’t respect the musicians and treat them like a backdrop. The Songwriter Evening is designed to focus on the musician and their art. Musicians won’t be competing with people chatting loudly to each other, people ordering drinks or listening to the TV. If you come to the Evening you’ll be there to perform and/or listen to musicians showcase their own original songs.

It’s not revolutionary, this is what it used to be like back in the day, people listening to music.
