The first song I released was My Guardian Angel which was a tribute to my late partner Christine who died from blood cancer.

I recorded the song and it was played at Christine’s funeral. Some time later I contacted the Blood Cancer UK charity and sought their permission to release My Guardian Angel in Christine’s name to raise money and awareness for the charity. They agreed and we’ve been raising money ever since.

With the donations we generated around the time of Christine’s funeral we’ve raised £7,610.43 through our Just Giving page alone (including tax refunds). It’s a staggering amount of money and I know just how immensely proud Christine would be.

But it’s important that we continue to raise money and awareness of blood cancer. I lost the love of my life to this dreadful disease and it is my my fervent wish that one day no-one else will ever die from blood cancer.
