My song My Guardian Angel has now topped 2,000 streams on Spotify. That’s great news in itself but there’s a more important reason why I’m so pleased that this particular song has had so many streams.
My Guardian Angel is a deeply personal song that was written for my late partner Christine. Christine was the love of my life, my best friend and my hero. She died from blood cancer in 2018 and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of her and miss her tremendously.
I told some of her story and the background to this song in a chapter of My Story, click here to read that, but the song has importance in that I’ve raised a lot of money for the charity Blood Cancer UK from sales and streams.
A lot of people were also triggered by the song to donate to the JustGiving page I set up in Christine’s name, click here to visit the page.
Yes I’m delighted that My Guardian Angel has reached the 2,000 streams milestone but I wish we could do a lot, lot more and that would benefit Blood Cancer UK. So, please, please share the song and hopefully one day no-one will ever die from cancer again.
I love you Christine.
