You might not have heard of Leland Sklar but you’ve almost certainly heard him.

Leland is a bassist in the same way Charles Dickens is a writer. He’s played with hundreds of people over decades and since the start of lockdown he’s been hosting his own YouTube channel which dives into some of the recordings and stories from his long and varied life.

If you’re a bass player I’d say this is required viewing, if you love music I’d say it’s mandatory viewing.

Leland has a dry sense of humour, well anyone who would willingly grow a beard THAT long must have a sense of humour, and it comes though on virtually every video.
