I had a great, and very drunken, night last night at the Hothouse Flowers gig in Liverpool. The Hothouses were on fine form and I really enjoyed the concert.

It was really great to see the whole band afterwards mixing and chatting with everyone in the bar.

For the first time in my life I had a selfie with someone famous. As you can tell from the photo Liam Ó Maonlaí from the Hothouse Flowers was overjoyed to meet me.

I’d love to tell you that we chatted for hours, discussed subtle chord changes, the rigors of touring and whether or not he was going to record any of my songs, but sadly it was just a quick thanks for the gig from me and a thank you for coming from him and he was off with the next lucky selfie person.
