It’s seems my face offends the good people at Apple Music. To be fair that’s not strictly true but it’s a reasonable summary.

As an accredited artist on Apple I can upload an image of myself to go on my profile. I tried uploading my logo but they rejected that so I uploaded my picture and they’ve rejected that !!!

Their email states:

Unfortunately, the artist image submitted for Sean Kearns has been rejected.
Images must not:
  • Include faces outside of the safe zone
  • Contain any text, including artist, band names, or roles
  • Be blurry, pixelated, mismatched, misaligned, or rotated
  • Include any borders
  • Be the artist’s album cover art or artist logo
  • Contain images or themes not legal or appropriate for all countries or regions, encourage unlawful conduct, or otherwise be obscene, objectionable, or in poor taste

In typical Apple fashion there’s no way to appeal this decision, you can’t talk to anybody you just have to accept it and move on. Don’t forget, I’m trying to upload something to MY artists page, the page that contains MY music that they can make money on if they sell any of it.

Maybe if I wore a black roll neck jumper and a pair of jeans for the rest of my life I’d be their pin-up boy ???
