Songwriter Evening is just over a week away, returning on Saturday 6th June for another night of live original music at Ysceifiog Village Hall.
If you enjoy discovering new songs, supporting independent musicians, and hearing music performed in a proper listening environment, now is the time to make a note of the date.
Songwriter Evening is not a typical open mic night. The focus is entirely on original music, with performers sharing songs they have written themselves. That creates a very different kind of atmosphere — one built around listening, creativity, and respect for the craft of songwriting.
The Evening
- Performer registration: 7:00pm
- Music starts: 7:30pm
- Entry: £3 (all proceeds go to help with the upkeep of the village hall)
- Venue: Ysceifiog Village Hall
Please arrive before the music begins so you can take your seat and enjoy the evening from the start.
For performers, Songwriter Evening offers the chance to play original songs to an audience that is there to listen. For the audience, it is a chance to hear new music at its source — real songs, performed by the people who wrote them.
Songwriter Evening also continues beyond the night itself through the Songwriter Evening Showcase, which features artists who have performed at previous evenings, including links to their music and social media pages.
