There are some moments in music that feel bigger than others. Releasing songs. Finishing albums. Holding a CD of your own work for the first time. All of those have meant a lot to me over the years.
But this one feels different.
I’m incredibly proud to say that my album Present Tense is now available on vinyl.
And for me, that’s something I’ve been working towards — consciously or not — since I was a teenager.
Why Vinyl Matters
Growing up, vinyl always felt like the format. The size of the artwork. The physical presence of the record. The ritual of placing the needle and hearing music come to life.
It was how “real” albums existed.
Even as CDs and then streaming became the dominant formats, vinyl never lost that sense of importance. If anything, it became more meaningful — something tangible in a world where music increasingly exists as files and streams.
So the idea of one day holding my own album on vinyl stayed with me. Not as a plan. More as a quiet ambition in the background.
From CD to Vinyl
Present Tense has been available on CD in the UK for some time now, and that in itself was a significant milestone. If you’ve already supported the album in that format, I’m incredibly grateful.
But vinyl feels like something else again. It’s not just another format — it’s a different way of experiencing the album. The sequencing, the flow, the sense of a complete body of work all come into sharper focus.
This is the version of Present Tense that feels closest to how I always imagined it.
Partnering with ElasticStage
To make this possible, I’ve partnered with ElasticStage.
What makes this approach different is that each record is produced individually, on demand, rather than in a large bulk pressing. That’s opened up the possibility for independent artists like me to release music on vinyl without the traditional barriers — large upfront costs, minimum order quantities, and storage.
It’s a completely different way of thinking about physical releases, and one that makes projects like this possible.

A Note on Delivery
Because each vinyl copy is produced individually, delivery times are slightly longer than you might expect from standard retail orders.
This isn’t a delay — it’s part of the process. Your record is effectively being created for you when you order it.
For me, that actually adds something to the experience. It reinforces the idea that this isn’t mass-produced stock sitting in a warehouse — it’s a carefully made physical version of the album, produced one copy at a time.
A Personal Milestone
There’s something hard to put into words about this moment. For years, I’ve written and recorded music largely in my own space, at my own pace. No big studio, no label, no external pressure — just the work itself.
To now see that work exist on vinyl feels like a genuine milestone. Not because it changes anything externally. But because it represents something I’ve wanted for a long time.
A record.
My songs.
On vinyl.
Thank You
If you’ve listened to the album, supported it, shared it, or followed the journey in any way — thank you.
And if you decide to pick up the vinyl, I hope it becomes something you enjoy returning to, in the way that great records are meant to be experienced. This one means a lot.
