Although this is Katherine’s third album I’ve only recently caught up with her music when I belatedly bought her album The Pendulum Swing. That’s a good album, in fact it’s very good, so good in fact that I actually pre-ordered These Frightening Machines. Now there’s a leap of faith that an artist is going to deliver something good.
I’m not disappointed, in fact I’m delighted. These Frightening Machines is a superb album with a wide range of excellent songs enhanced by Katherine’s quite beautiful voice.
I’m going to have the absolute delight of seeing Katherine in concert in Liverpool in a few weeks time, I can’t wait.
Honestly, there’s not much more to say other than by all means stream her beautiful music, better still buy the album and wallow in the exceptional soundscape that is Katherine Priddy.
