I’m really pleased, and proud, that my song My Guardian Angel has reached the milestone of 3,000 Spotify streams but this matters so much more than just a figure or a milestone.

I wrote this song in memory of my partner Christine who died nearly five years ago from a savage form of blood cancer. My Guardian Angel was played at her funeral.

I eventually released the song as a single to try and raise awareness and money for the Blood Cancer UK charity so every stream not only raises awareness it also adds a tiny bit more money to the charity.

One in three of us will suffer from some form of cancer during our lives. We all know someone who has either died from cancer, is in remission or is being treated. Although huge strides have been made in fighting back against cancer there is still a massive amount more to do before no-one will ever die of the disease again.
